Physical Description

The Androids are a newly discovered race throughout Tarquinn. They look humanoid in figure, but are much more sturdy than the average person. Their hair varies in color, but they have circuitry tattoos that match in shade. Some have wires and mechanics protruding from their skin as well.

Culture

Kendel had long craved the ability to create life from nothing. After his cooperation with Ayro and the creation of the Embers, Kendel wanted nothing more than to have children of his own, independent from the help of other gods. So, he began to tinker. For hundreds of years he worked tirelessly on his children, letting other projects collect dust. Over time, he created prototypes, but those prototypes were never truly alive. They lacked free will and the true life that separated man from machine. Acknowledging the need for further support and stimulation, Kendel carefully placed his prototypes aside and began work on an object that would grant life to his empty children. He created the Arc Matrix and gifted it to his most beloved prototype, known as Alpha.

Alpha behaved appropriately for the first few weeks of his “life.” He was the model child for Kendel and he couldn’t have been happier. Unfortunately, it didn’t last. The Arc Matrix granted life to Alpha, but artificial means cannot create true mortal life and his sense of morality skewed. He began to hunt those who took advantage of the life they’d been given and awoke prototypes of his own using the Arc Matrix’s power. With Alpha as their leader, the rogue Androids began hunting down and killing mortals who threw their lives away. Anyone with self-destructive tendencies were sought out by the Androids and terminated.

By the grace of the citizens of Tarquinn, Alpha was eliminated and the Arc Matrix removed from him. Without his guidance, the awoken Androids were directionless and Tarquinn took it upon themselves to return the sole survivor of the encounter to their town so he can learn to live truly. Isabella, noticing the compassion of the town, chose to grant the Androids true life through her touch. Across the continent in all of Kendel’s work spaces, prototypes awoke as the gift of Isabella passed through them. Finally able to choose their own paths in life, some gave themselves names outside of their prototype number and began to forge an identity they could be proud of.

Upgrade 8 Build: Androids can upgrade their bodies using their nanites. This skill can be purchased once for each slot [Head, Torso, Arms, Legs]

Head: X-Ray Vision [Clairvoyance] or Radar [Vigilance]. 1/Period
Torso: Armor Plating [+1 Soak] or Artificial Longevity [Adds +1 minute to first stage of death count.]
Arms: Pneumatic Arm [+1 weapon damage] or Implanted Object [Weapon, Shield or Tool can be implanted, can’t be disarmed and repairs each period if broken.]
Legs: Pneumatic Leg [Stomp: Trip 5 foot radius] 1/Period or Quick Reflexes [Dodge] 1/Period.
