Goblin

When Source sacrificed herself and her essence was scattered across Panthes, humans consumed her essence in the hopes of gaining her infinite knowledge.  The addictive green crystals warped their bodies into small, green, frail creatures; however the desired effect of expanding their minds worked. Although they now possessed Source’s knowledge, however, their mortal minds could not properly handle it and they became mentally volatile. This is how the Goblins came to be.

Physical Description

Goblins are a green-skinned race with pointed ears and small, frail frames.  In fact, the tallest Goblin currently living stands at a proud 3 feet, 10 inches. Besides their height, however, Goblins vary greatly physically; some have broad faces and pinched noses while others have long, pointed features.  Some have lithe, graceful bodies while others are thicker and more rounded.

Culture

Most Goblins live in the city of Thriss, a center of science and engineering; this has led to the leader of Thriss being chosen yearly by the annual Science Fair. Many flock to the city during this time to witness the incredible inventions being produced by the future kings and queens of Thriss. There are also many spectacular fails which offer great entertainment for the judges and fair goers. Wentzel is the current King, having replaced Gindletrix 6 years ago after the war between the Goblins and Panthes. He is still the reigning champion of the Science Fair. Many agree that he is one of the greatest rulers Thriss has had yet.

What little the Goblins of Panthes have to offer physically, they more than make up for mentally. They are keen learners with a natural-born talent for invention and their curious minds are always looking for new problems to solve. Almost every Goblin at one point or another takes up invention and engineering, the result being that cities across Panthes come to the Goblins for aid in issues from basic repairs to the creation of war machines, this has led to quick expansion of the city of Thriss.
