Description: This skill allows a character to study an item closely for 1 Minute of Roleplaying time in order to learn the true value of an item. Items owner must declare the items true worth (or market value). If the items owner does not know the value of the item character appraising the item may request for a martial or staff member to divulge the true worth of the item in question.

Description: This skill allows a character to study their target for 1 Minute of Roleplaying time. The target of this skill must tell the user his current Body points, Armor points, or Energy total of the user’s choice.

Skill Name: Basic Engineer
Description: A character with Basic Engineering can craft mechanical devices or research a schematic chosen by the player. Each month the character works on his specific project, he gains 1 “Rank.” These Ranks are cumulative each event that the character continues to work on the same topic. A difficulty rank will be assigned by staff. Once the Ranks from Engineering meet the difficulty rank assigned, the project is finished and the item is usable, or the schematic is found for the chosen item. If a character changes projects, he must start his Ranks over. If a character has multiple Ranks in a skill they can allocate these Ranks across multiple items during their after action. The Character is able to create ‘Basic’ level Engineered items. Basic DC: 1-5

Description: This skill allows a character to restrain another. The user must touch their target with a one foot long cord or rope and the target is from that point bound. The rope or cord can be easily broken by the bound target taking at least 1 Damage from weapon (this does not include Unarmed attacks). Break DC: 2

Description: Character with this skill is capable of using all sword types of at least 24” in size. A Bladed Sphere Weapon’s base Damage is 3 in one hand and 4 in two hands.

Description: This skill allows a character to completely ignore any Blinding or sight-based attacks used on him. He is adept at fighting without the need to see.

Description: The character can strike their targets leg and force them to fall to the ground and drop their weapon. They may stand up any time after their body touches the ground. The weapon must touch the ground before it can be picked up.

Description: This skill allows a character to deal +1 base Damage when wielding any type of Bow (this includes Longbow, Shortbow, and Crossbow).

Description: Character with this skill has a connection to another person who is able to do favors for him. Contact will be played by a reoccurring NPC. Contact character may or may not be a character from the skill users back story. A contact may be chosen from: A trainer, a fence, a merchant/supplier, etc... (Other options may be available based upon staff approval)

Skill Name: Coup De Grace
Description: This skill allows a character to instantly kill another. The target must be in their death count for this skill to take effect. This skill immediately ends their death count and they are now considered dead. When this skill is used, the player calls “Coup De Grace, Death” so the character knows they are now dead.

Description: This skill allows a character to determine the truth of his target’s most recent statement. Target character must answer true or false.

Skill Name: Disable Device
Description: This skill allows the character to disable locks and traps. A character with this skill can look at the trap or lock tag. The character must then spend the appropriate amount of Energy which is determined by the lock or trap tag. This requires 1 Minute of Roleplaying per Energy required to disarm the target lock or trap.

Description: Target must drop his weapon and may immediately pick it back up any time after it is dropped. Attack must hit the targets weapon. Shields cannot be disarmed using this skill.

Description: This skill allows a character to immediately drop another player into the second stage of their death count. Target must be Stunned, Sleeping, Paralyzed, or otherwise helpless, powerless, and immobilized. A character who is ‘playing dead’ is considered helpless.

Description: This skill allows a character to fire one arrow which represents them shooting two. This single arrow shot deals x2 Damage to its target.

Skill Name: Embed [Bow, Thrown Weapon]
Description: This skill allows a character to Embed a successful arrow shot into their target. After successfully hitting a target with an arrow, the target takes the initial damage from the weapon and then drops into the first stage of their death count after 5 Minutes. Until the weapon/arrow is removed, the target continues to bleed out and cannot be First Aided. The Death Count may be halted by way of: Halt Degeneration or Stabilize. The weapon/arrow may be removed by way of: Dissect or Surgery.

Description: This skill allows a character to escape out of any type of bindings. This includes Subdue and any other grappling type skill as well as rope or shackles.

Description: Character with this skill may heal his target out of the 1st stage of their Death Count. This requires 1 Minute of Roleplaying time and 3 Minutes recover for the target. This requires the use of a first aid kit or bandages.

Description: Character with this skill may create false documents and minor details to objects. Using this skill requires an appropriate physical object that will be converted into a Forgery of the original object (ex. if you are forging a ring, you need a ring). For all intents and purposes the object looks exactly like the original. Using this skill requires 5 Minutes of Roleplaying.

Description: This skill allows a character to wield a Longbow. A Longbow is a real bow and boffer arrow. When wielding a Longbow, a character may add any additional Strength bonuses that they have (above base) to the damage they deal. A Longbow’s base Damage is 5.

Skill Name: Marksman [Bow, Thrown Weapon]
Description: Character with this skill who spends 1 Minute of Roleplaying may shoot an inanimate object to cause a desired effect, such as sharpshooting a noose or other trick shots. This skill is strictly used for non-combat situations.

Description: Character with this skill adds 1 additional Rank when using Engineering. The character is now able to create ‘Master’ level Engineered items. Master DC: 11-30

Description: This skill allows a character to use any items, weapons, tools that are created using Engineering. This includes: Guns, Crossbows, Bombs, etc. Base Damage for a gun is 6 damage.

Description: Character with this skill may stitch up minor wounds on another character. The character must spend 10 Seconds of Roleplaying to heal 2 Body. This skill has no effect on targets in their death count.

Skill Name: Merchant
Description: Character with this skill can spend Energy to gain a better deal when making a transaction. This is based on a rate of 5 Energy per 10% change in price (to a maximum of 50% for 25 Energy). The character may:

Sell an item to the Target with the adjusted price. The Target must pay the price as long as they have the personal means to do so. This does not force the Target to give up any additional equipment or items as a means to pay the adjusted price (though the Target may still do so).

Buy an item from the Target with the discounted price. The Target must sell at the discounted price as long as it does not go below the cost to actually produce the item. (Ex. A base quality blade costs 2 Diamond, 5 Emerald to produce, so the Target does not have to sell any lower than 2 Diamond, 5 Emerald.)

Description: Character with this skill may land on their feet when Thrown, Tripped, or when any effect would place them off their feet. This negates any damage from the effect of being Thrown.

Skill Name: Pick Pocket
Description: Character with this skill is skilled at stealing out of other’s pouches and pockets. Character must clip a clothespin onto the target pouch/bag/pocket and he may steal from that specific area. If successful without being caught, he must report this to the nearest staff member who will approach the target out-of-game and take an item at random from the intended pouch/bag/pocket to give to the thief.

Description: Character with this skill may use it to prevent a target from moving. In addition, while the target is held, the target is under the effects of Pain and may not use any skills.

Description: This skill allows the character to disable locks and traps hastily. Using this skill allows the character to negate the Roleplaying time required for disabling a lock or trap. This skill is used in conjunction with Disable Device.

Description: The character can knock an unaware target Stunned by striking their back torso with a Small Weapon. Any amount of damage will remove the Stunned effect. Duration: 1 Minute

Description: The character can determine if a single object contains or is Trapped by any means. The character must be within 5 ft. of the object. Using this skill requires 1 Minute of Roleplaying.

Description: Character with this skill reduces the Energy cost of a chosen Trigger by 2. You then pick one Trap Effect, and this effect can always be added to a Trap regardless of how many other effects are currently on the Trap.

Description: The character can put a palm-sized or smaller item in a pocket that is considered out of game. After the duration, the item must be brought back in game and the pocket is no longer considered out of game. Duration: 10 Minutes.

Description: This skill allows the character a quick burst of speed. The character may call a HOLD. During the HOLD, the character may take up to 5 bounding steps. These steps must be in a straight line with no turns or pivots. At the end of the 5 steps, the character may use a Surprise Attack (optional). He must still expend the Energy for the Surprise Attack.

Skill Name: Stabilize
Description: Character with this skill may staunch a target’s bleeding. This requires 30 Seconds of Roleplaying time. During the 5 Minutes the target’s Death Count is paused from the point when this skill was used. After the 5 Minutes, if the target has not received any additional healing that would bring them out of their Death Count, they resume the count. This skill may be used to permanently staunch the bleeding caused by a Severed Limb. Duration: 5 Minutes.

Description: The character can Stun a target. The attack deals no damage. Any damage dealt to the target will remove the Stun effect. Duration: 10 Seconds.

Skill Name: Surgery
Description: The character can heal a target that is in their 2nd stage of their death count. This requires 3 Minutes of Roleplaying to administer and 3 minutes recovery time for the target. During this time the target halts their death count. After the recovery time, the target regains consciousness at 1 Body. If the character is interrupted they must restart the process and the target’s death count resumes until they are treated again. Performing Surgery requires the use of a surgeon’s kit.

Description: The character can use Thrown Weapons. Thrown Weapons are items such as knives or shuriken that are represented by an appropriate boffer weapon of no larger than 12”. When using a Thrown Weapon, a character may add any additional Strength bonuses that they have (above base) to the damage they deal. A Thrown Weapon’s base Damage is 2.

Description: Character with this skill is an expert in the knowledge of the ebb and flow of trade goods and economy. The character is able to move supplies in between events. The character gains an amount of money equivalent to how successful they were in their trading. The player rolls and gains 2D6 Diamond and 2D6 Emerald per month.

Skill Name: Treat Poison
Description: A character with this skill may spend 10 Minutes of Roleplaying to identify what Poison his target is afflicted by. Character with this skill may also spend 10 Minutes of Roleplaying to cure a Poison from a target’s system. During this time the Poison does not progress further. He may also spend 10 Minutes of Roleplaying to remove a Poison from himself. To use Treat Poison to cure a Poison, the character must know what the Poison is that he is curing.

Skill Name: Treat Disease
Description: A character with this skill may spend 10 Minutes of Roleplaying to identify what Disease his target is afflicted by. By spending 10 Minutes of Roleplaying the character can treat the effects of a single Disease. A Disease will not progress further in the following month and may be cured by the use of or multiple uses of this skill. A character can only receive the benefits of one treatment per event. To use Treat Disease to cure a Disease, the character must know what the Poison is that he is curing.
