*Note:  Naturalists start with Light and Medium Armor Proficiency.  Naturalists cannot use [Nature] skills while wearing metal armor.

 

 

Skill Name: Arcane Blast [Unarmed] [Arcane]

Description: Character with this skill may throw a skill packet dealing his Unarmed Combat Damage. 

Effect: Physical

Range: Ranged - Packet

 

 

Skill Name: Aspect of the Beast

Description: Character with this skill retains his claws and any strength enhancements gained from Wild Shape or Beast Form, while in his natural form.  A character may choose to retract these abilities because he may not perform any fine manipulation or wield weapons while gaining the use of these claws.  It takes 15 seconds to gain use of and to retract the aspect.  In addition, a character with Aspect of the Beast may choose one skill from his appropriate Beast list (that he has purchased), he may use this skill while in his natural form.

Skill Name: Barkskin [Nature]

Description: This skill allows the user to gain +10 Natural Armor.  This bonus cannot be gained more than once at a time, but can be re-used to get back up to the maximum of +10.  Any leftover Natural Armor gained from this skill is lost at the end of the encounter.  Duration: Encounter.  Non-Stackable.

Skill Name: Barbed Arrow [Bow]

Description: Character with this skill my use his next shot with a bow to weaken his opponent.  A target struck with this skill is under the effects of Pain.  Duration: 1 Minute.

Effect: Physical

Skill Name: Briar Shot [Bow]

Description: Character with this skill my use his next shot with a bow to pull his target 10 steps towards himself.

Effect: Physical

Skill Name: Call Lightning [Nature]

Description: Character with this skill calls a lightning bolt from the sky to strike down upon his target.  This attack deals 10 Shock.

Effect: Physical

Skill Name: Constitution

Description: Character with this skill gains +1 Body.

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Charm Animal

Description: Character with this skill may force target Animal to become non-hostile.  The creature stays non-hostile until it is dealt damage or the duration ends.  Duration: 10 Minutes

Effect: Mental

Skill Name: Cover Tracks

Description: Character with this skill may hide the tracks of one other person for the duration as long as the target stays within 10 ft. of the character.  For the duration of Cover Tracks, the character using the skill and the target may only walk.  If you choose to move faster than a walking pace, then the target becomes track-able again. Duration: 5 Minutes

Skill Name: Crit +1 [Melee]

Description: This skill allows a character to deal +1 Damage on their next melee strike.

Effect: Physical

Skill Name: Defy Injury

Description: A Character with this skill may negate a Physical Effect (includes Surprise and AOE).  This skill does not allow the character to negate Damage.

Skill Name: Eagle Eye [Bow]

Description: Character with this skill can use his other-worldly senses to focus on precision rather than speed with a bow.  The character can perform a 3 count audibly enough for those around him to hear (Eagle Eye 1, Eagle Eye 2, Eagle Eye 3) to gain +2 Damage on a single shot with a Bow.

Skill Name: Earth Strike [Unarmed]

Description: Character with this skill strikes the ground causing a fissure to shoot straight toward his target.  This skill deals the character’s Unarmed Combat Damage along with a Trip effect.

Skill Name: Elemental Fist [Unarmed]

Description: This skill grants the user +1 Damage for one encounter.  This damage is dealt as either Shock or Acid.  The user chooses which damage type is dealt upon calling this skill and it cannot be changed.  Duration: Encounter.  Non-Stackable.

Skill Name: Endure Elements

Description: This skill allows a character to endure and ignore the harmful effects of the elements.  When used, this skill grants the character self-contained breathing and a Soak of +2 vs. a chosen element (Acid, Ice, Fire, or Shock). Other effects that are situational may be approved by staff.  Duration: Encounter.

Effect: Physical

Skill Name: Entangle [Nature]

Description: The character may cause vines to shoot from the ground Entangling his target’s legs.  The target is Entangled and cannot move his legs.  This skill cannot be used while inside of buildings or to target a character inside a building.  Duration: 1 Minute.  Break DC: 2.

Skill Name: Entomb [Nature]

Description: Character with this skill may form an encasement of rock and earth around the target. During this time the target may not move, speak, or use skills.  The target become immune to physical melee and ranged attacks from outside sources. Character must keep physical contact with the target and must concentrate (may take no other actions.)  Duration: Sustained  Break DC: 3.

Skill Name: Faerie Fire

Description: Character with this skill designates a target.  All ranged attacks made by caster deal +2 Damage vs. the chosen target.  Duration: Encounter.  Non-Stackable.

Skill Name: Feral Speech [Wild Shape]

Description: Character with this skill may speak in the common tongue while Shifted.

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Flurry of Blows [Unarmed]

Description: Character with this skill may call a HOLD.  During the HOLD, the character may attack any target within reach.  He may strike them as many times as he wishes for his Unarmed Combat Damage.  Each strike against his target costs 8 Energy.

Skill Name: Focus Strength

Description: This skill gives a boost of Strength and adrenaline.  The character gains +1 Strength.  Duration: Encounter.  Non-Stackable.

Description: Character with this skill gains +1 Body.

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Healing Herbs

Description: Character with this skill is able identify usable Healing Herbs out in the wilderness.  By spending 1 Minute of Roleplaying time the character can gather 1 Healing Herb.  This Healing Herb may be used to heal 1 Body to a target by way of 10 count.  The character may use multiple Healing Herbs in a single 10 count.  The Herbs, once picked, are usable until the end of the event.

Skill Name: Healing Salve

Description: Character with this skill may heal his target out of the 1st stage of their Death Count.  This requires 1 Minute of Roleplaying time and 3 Minutes of recovery time for the target.  The use of this skill requires 2 Healing Herbs.

Skill Name: Improved Natural Attack [Wild Shape]

Description: Character with this skill deals +1 Damage with his Claws while Shifted.

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Iron Body

Description: Character with this skill gains immunity to Break Limb and gains +1 Soak.

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Jolt [Nature]

Description:  Character with this skill may heal his target out of the 1st stage of their Death Count.  This requires 1 Minute of Roleplaying time and the target instantly revives at 1 Body.

Skill Name: Large Beast Focus [Wild Shape]

Description: A Shifter with this skill gains +15 Body when shifted. To purchase this skill, the character must be have chosen a Large Beast for his Wild Shape.

Skill Name: Large Hide [Wild Shape]

Description: A Shifter with this skill gains +15 Natural Armor while Shifted.

Skill Name: Leech Arrow [Bow]

Description: Character with this skill heals the amount of Damage done with his next ranged attack.

Effect: Physical

Skill Name: Literacy

Description: Character with this skill may read and write in the common language.

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Longbow

Description: This skill allows a character to wield a Longbow.  A Longbow is a real bow and boffer Arrow.  When wielding a Longbow, a character may add any additional Strength bonuses that they have (above base) to the damage they deal.  A Longbow’s base Damage is 5.

Skill Name: Reach

Description: This skill increases the character’s base Unarmed Combat and/or Claw size by one size Category.  (Small 18 in > Medium 24 in, Medium 24 in > Large 30 in)  Reach does not affect the Damage the character deals with Unarmed Combat or Claws.

Skill Name: Medium Beast Focus [Wild Shape]

Description: A Shifter with this skill gains +10 Body and when shifted.  To purchase this skill, the character must be have chosen a Medium Beast for his Wild Shape.

Skill Name: Medium Hide [Wild Shape]

Description: A Shifter with this skill gains +10 Natural Armor while Shifted.

Skill Name: Natural Magic [Wild Shape]

Description: Character with this skill may use skills with the Nature tag while Shifted.

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Nature’s Bond [Nature]

Description: When the character selects this skill they must choose either Earth or Sky alignment. Once selected this can't be changed or purchased again. The character also must create a fetish to be used in casting nature magic. The naturalist must have this fetish on themselves in order to cast any skill with a [Nature] tag. It takes 1 month (after action period) to attune to a fetish.

Earth – Rooted: Immune to trip effects.

Sky - Feather Fall: The character takes no damage from falling or Throw.

Skill Name: Nature’s Wrath [Nature]

Description: Character with this skill may tear earth from the ground to throw at his opponents.  For every 1 Energy spent, this skill deals 2 Damage.  The character using this skill determines how much Energy he wants to use upon activation (up to a maximum of 10 Energy).  This skill cannot be used while inside of buildings.

Skill Name: Neutralize Poison

Description: Character with this skill is able to use Healing Herbs as a means of treating a Poison.  The character may use 6 Healing Herbs and 1 Minute of Roleplaying time for the Poison to be neutralized.

Skill Name: Paralyzing Strike [Unarmed]

Description: Character with this skill strikes quickly with a burst of shocking energy that causes his target to be Paralyzed.  Duration: 10 Seconds.

Skill Name: Pathfinder

Description: Character with this skill no longer requires a light source while Tracking.  In addition, he is able to move faster than a walking pace while Tracking. 

Effect:  Passive

Skill Name: Rapid Shot [Bow]

Description: Character with this skill is able to enchant his arrows in such a way that they will be guided to his target.  This skill converts a single shot with a Bow to a Point and Click ability.  No other skills may be used in combination with Rapid Shot.

Skill Name: Remove Disease

Description: Character with this skill is able to use Healing Herbs as a means treating a Disease.  The character may use 8 Healing Herbs and 3 Minutes of Roleplaying time for the Disease to be treated.  A Disease will not progress further in the following month and may be cured by the use of, or multiple uses of, this skill.  A character can only receive the benefits of one treatment per event.

Skill Name:  Resilient

Description:  The character halves the duration of all negative physical effects used against them.  This includes durations such as Diseases, Sleep, Slow, Stun, Pain, Paralysis, Poisons, etc… from physical sources.

Skill Name: Scent [Wild Shape]

Description: A Shifted character with this skill may track others by way of scent.  This is done by a Marshal or Staff Member.  The character must actually have a legitimate scent to track.  If Staff is not able to marshal the target, this is done by way of calling out to the target out-of-game with the Shifter and his target.  The target must respond if he is within ear-shot of the Shifter’s call.  This must be done within an hour or the scent is lost.

Skill Name: Shortbow

Description: This skill allows a character to wield a Shortbow.  A Shortbow is a packet-based bow and arrow.  A Shortbow’s base Damage is 3.

Skill Name: Small Beast Focus [Wild Shape]

Description: A Shifter with this skill gains +5 Defense when shifted.  To purchase this skill, the character must be have chosen a Small Beast for his Wild Shape.

Description: A Shifter with this skill gains +5 Natural Armor while Shifted.

Skill Name:  Small Weapon Sphere

Description:  The character can use all Small Weapons up to 24” in length. A Small Weapon’s base Damage is 2.

Skill Name: Soothe [Nature]

Description: A character with this skill may remove the effects of Pain from a target.  He may use this skill to break the effects of Pain upon himself as well.

Skill Name: Speak With Animals [Nature]

Description: A character with this skill may speak with and understand a creature that carries the Animal subtype.  This skill has no effect on the target’s intelligence or attitude, just allows the character to understand their speech.   This does not force the Animal to speak with the character or be non-hostile.  Duration: 10 minutes

Skill Name: Squall [Nature]

Description: A character with this skill may choose to block any single target, ranged attack that deals damage. The character then immediately deals the damage from the attack to a target of his choosing.

Skill Name: Tireless

Description: Character with this skill becomes immune to Sleep and Slow-based effects.

Skill Name: Track

Description: The character can follow the trail of a target. This requires them to notify a staff member who will marshal the tracking.  If staff is not able to marshal the target, staff approval can be given to call out to the target out-of-game to represent the tracking.  The target must respond if he is able to hear the tracker’s call.  Using Track requires a light source and the character cannot move faster than a walking pace while tracking.  Tracking must be done within 3 Hours of the target leaving his tracks.

Skill Name: Trackless Step

Description: Character with this skill does not leave tracks.  He may still leave tracks if he chooses to do so.

Skill Name: Transfer Life

Description: This skill is used in conjunction with Leech Arrow.  Character with this skill may, instead of healing himself, touch a target within 10 seconds of using Leech Arrow and grant them the healing.

Skill Name: Tree Stride [Nature]

Description: Character with this skill can travel quickly by melding into a tree and transporting themselves through their connection to nature to a nearby tree.  The character must be touching a tree to use this skill and end by touching another tree.  They must call a hold and travel to any other tree within 20 steps of their current location.

Skill Name: Unarmed Combat

Description: This skill allows the character to use small sized fists or claws (18 inches) that deal 1 Damage. Unarmed Combat is considered a melee weapon for all intents and purposes.

Skill Name: Unarmed Prof

Description: This skill allows a character to deal +1 base Damage when using Unarmed Combat or Claws.

Skill Name: Wall of Stone [Nature]

Description: Character with this skill may cause a wall of stone to erupt from the ground.  This requires 1 Minute of Roleplaying time.  This allows them to lay down a 5’ long rope of silver garland or grey rope.  The garland represents the Wall of Stone which is as long as the garland and considered 15ft high. Character must be touching stone for skill to function. Break DC: 5

Skill Name: Wild Lore

Description: The character can target an animal even if he cannot see the animal, the target must state what type of animal it is.  If it is a humanoid race, the target will respond, “humanoid.”  Character with this skill cannot determine any other subtype of creature aside from animal or humanoid.  Character with this skill may also identify any natural alchemy component that he finds.  This does not allow him to properly harvest any of these components.

Skill Name: Wild Shape [Nature]

Description: This skill allows the character to shapeshift and gain bestial aspects related to an animal that he has bonded with.

Skill Name: Wind Blast [Nature]

Description: Character with this skill may forcefully blast his target back 10 ft.

Skill Name: Wind Wall [Nature]

Description: Character with this skill stretches out his arms and creates an impassible vortex of wind surrounding everything within the radius of his arms.  The character cannot move for the duration of this skill unless he chooses to end its effects preemptively (and he must hold this pose and keep his arms outstretched for the duration of this skill).  All non-Arcane attacks or effects that target anyone within the radius are negated.  This does not negate Point and Click attacks.  Any attacks or effects that successfully target the caster, end the effects of this skill.  No creatures may pass in or out of the vortex.  Duration: 1 Minute.

Skill Name:  Wood Sphere

Description: The character can use all wood weapon types of at least 24” in size. Wood Weapons deal 2 Damage.  Wood Weapons consist of stakes, clubs, bats, and staves.
